Campaign for Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC) by-polls has officially begun Sunday with the allocation of symbols among the five mayoral candidates.
The DNCC by-polls is scheduled to be held on February 28.
Atiqul Islam (Awami League) got BOAT as the election symbol, Shafin Ahmed (Jatiya Party) PLOUGH, Shahin Khan (Progressive Democratic Party) TIGER, Anisur Rahman (National People’s Party) MANGO and Abdur Rahim (Independent) TABLE CLOCK.
The candidates can continue their election campaign till midnight of February 26, said Returning Officer Abul Kashem while distributing the symbols in the morning.
Earlier on February 9, Nationalist Democratic Movement candidate Bobby Hajjaj withdrew his candidature for the by-polls.
