This agreement will enable the two civic bodies exchange technologies to providing better services to residents of Dhaka and Kolkata.

Khokon told reporters he was particularly interested in Kolkata’s waste disposal system as he found the city much cleaner than earlier.
“I was really impressed to see how clean Kolkata has become. Going back to Dhaka, I will send a team, who will interact with their Kolkata counterparts on this,” he said.
“Collaboration of Dhaka and Kolkata is essential for having a sustained relationship of friendship. More such visits will follow from both the sides,” the DSCC Mayor said.
