An activist of Parbatya Chattagram Jana Samhati Samity (PCJSS) and Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) were shot dead at Raikhali Karigarpara in Kaptai Upazila of Rangamati district on Monday.
PCJSS activist Mongshenu Marma and his friend BCL activist Zahid have been identified as the two deceased.
A group of armed men swooped on them and opened fire, killing both on the spot, said Ashraf Uddin, OC of Chandraghona Police Station.
A police and BGB team has gone to the spot to investigate the incident.
Police say they suspect the killings might be linked to establishing supremacy in the area.
