Due to Fakhrul's signature, nomination cancellation in Manikganj

The returning officer of Manikganj district has canceled the nomination papers of the candidate for the post of BNP secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir. BNP Chairperson's adviser Bijan Kanti Sarkar submitted a letter to the Election Commission on Sunday about the letter signed by the party secretary-general.

Bijan Kanti told reporters on the issue that Manikganj district commissioner questioned the signature of Mirza Fakhrul. Such questions have been canceled by canceling all our candidate nominations. We have contacted and it is his signature that Mirza Fakhrul has contacted the commission. So that the candidates are not harassed and their nomination is accepted.

He said, we spoke to the EC Secretary, he told us that DC Chairman has canceled his nomination before speaking, now he has no opportunity to accept it.

He said this is a very rude incident. In 64 districts, no one asked the question, signature signed by the Secretary General of more than 700, there could be a little bit more. Even after confirming it was canceled. They will appeal now Appeals may be accepted. As we have contacted the Commission. According to the election law, no one is being deprived of election candidates due to any non-surrogate complaint or because of a coffunction. This is our question that why did the DC of Manikganj behave like this. We hope that their nomination will be accepted through appeals. We did not make any complaint to the Commission. We said that his signature was accepted.

In a letter signed by Mirza Fakhrul Islam, it is said that Manikganj District Administrator is not accepting the signature given by me in the nomination papers of the party. Which is unnecessary. I strongly advise that candidates of nomination papers for each constituency of Manikganj district are well known and I myself have signed their nomination papers. There is no doubt about this. In order to accept my signature, I request all the DCs, including Manikganj, to give them the instructions.
