The government has planned to close down all SSC coaching centres by January 27 as a safety measure for Secondary School Certificate (SSC) examinations which begin on February 2.
Education Minister Dipu Moni made the announcement while talking to reporters after a meeting of the National Monitoring and Law and Order Committee on the exams at the Secretariat on Sunday.
Ordering shut down for a month, Dr Dipu Moni said, “This year all coaching centres across the country must be closed from January 27 to February 27.”
This year, the SSC theory examinations are to be held from February 2 to February 25. The practical exam for Music is to be held on February 26, while the other practical exams will be held between February 27 and March 12.
