Detectives have detained another suspect for his alleged connection in the gang-rape of a woman in Noakhali’s Subarnachar on polls day.
The detainee has been identified as Salauddin, 35. He is the eighth suspect police have arrested in connection with the case.
He was detained by the DB men from a relative’s home in Feni’s Sultanpur at 1:30 am on Sunday, Noakhali Superintendent of Police Md Ilias Shareef.
Police are conducting operations to arrest the remaining suspects in the case and are tracking their mobile phones, said the police superintendent.
