Sonia Gandhi, Chairperson of Indian Congress Parliamentary, has congratulated Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on securing third consecutive term after achieving a landslide victory in the 11th parliamentary elections.
Ihsanul Karim, press secretary of the PM, confirmed the matter to the media.
“The Indian Congress Party leader sent a message to the prime minister greeting her, Bangladesh Awami League and the people of Bangladesh on securing her party’s landslide victory in Sunday’s national polls,” said Ihsanul Karim.
Sonia Gandhi also wished success of the prime minister and continued peace, progress and prosperity of Bangladesh.
